Baby Hats

Tuesday, November 22nd, 2011

As the holidays and winter come closer, the weather is getting colder by the day. We may need to shop for more baby hats for Elle to protect her from the cold when we go outdoors. I really should have used my spare time making some knit baby hats for Elle while I was pregnant. I thought I would be able to still spend time on my craft projects once the baby comes. I didn’t realize that being a mom is a 24/7  job until I started being one. She might even need some to use while we’re in the house. We can always turn the heater on but it’s cozier to snuggle up in warm footies, hoodies, hats and all.

Baby’s sleeping now. Might be a good chance to shop around, via the internet, for some of her clothing and accessories. I would definitely have the best choice especially that prices are at its lowest now that Black Friday is almost here…

Hubby takes it online

Friday, September 30th, 2011

As I was trying to decipher the password to our baby’s YouTube account, I accidentally found out that hubby has been doing some online shopping… Tsk tsk! He’s taking his shopping addiction to the next level! He bought some really neat but expensive stuff. I guess it’s time to give him some tips on finding the best deals. Bet he just ran the search engine to find his stuff, I ought to teach him how to use comparison shopping sites like omnea. Or should I just let him do it the hard way so he’ll get tired and give up? Nah! I don’t think that would work on him…

Cath Kidston Accessories

Tuesday, September 13th, 2011

They’re classic, they’re old fashioned, they’re adorable and they’re finally here! It’s my Cath Kidston purchase! Do I sound (or read) like I have waited a very long time for this? That’s because I did! Whew 7 to 10-day delivery time is apparently too long for me. I’ve gotten used to 2 to 5-day shipping on online orders. I even called customer service to check on the status of my order. The lady with an accent must have thought, “Why is this woman in such a bloody hurry?” LOL!

Anyways, there’s my new Cath Kidston wallet, small purse and gadget case for my iPhone (which is also good for small digital cameras or apple ipods).I bought these because I have found it quite inconvenient to take a purse separate from baby’s diaper bag; so now I just have to tuck these into her diaper bag and the hubby may even carry my stuff for me without realizing it! I love that I can use white accessories without having to worry about stains because these are made from oil cloth which is virtually stain-proof. And they match!

Shopping Online

Sunday, September 11th, 2011

Nothing compares to the feeling I get when I’m leisurely killing time in clothing stores, specially when I also have some dough to spend! I get in this euphoric state when I go around the store to look at everything before I make my choice (if I’m making one – or two!). Within those moments, all my cares and worries seem far, my lone mission is to find the best value for my buck or just to please my eyes with what I see and then make an entry on my shopping wish list later.

The hubby and I went to stores all the time during my last trimester, so I could get exercise by walking around. But then when baby came, kapoof! No more shopping for me. Not a lot in stores, that is – I rediscovered joy in online shopping again. I just spent 2 hours last night browsing through more than 500 items in one of my favorite shopping sites. I should have narrowed down my search by filtering those that didn’t come in my size but I just wanted to enjoy looking around. That’s something I can’t do in an actual store, something that makes online shopping special for me. Another advantage of online shopping that I enjoy is knowing whenever there are ongoing sales; I simply subscribe to email newsletters and they send me invites, coupons and special offers.

Shhh! My hubby and my baby are sleeping… I took the chance to get my hubby a father’s day present (exactly on father’s day). I can’t let this day pass by without making a big deal of it; it’s his first father’s day ever. Having him in my life for more than thirteen years, I know that coming up with nice presents on special occasions is tough but just because gifts for men are hard to find, doesn’t mean we can’t be clever in choosing one to make them happy… This gift will be late but I hope he appreciates it. I’m a full-time mother and wife now, that’s my excuse for being late…

Beddings

Wednesday, May 25th, 2011

We’re afraid of leaving baby to sleep alone in her crib so she sleeps with us and sometimes she has accidental leaks. We may need additional beddings and I’m eyeing some matouk beddings online (online is my best bet for shopping now that I’m a nursing mom). I’m also trying to find one that hubby would meet hubby’s taste because he’s conscious about showing our sheets on Facebook whenever we post baby’s pictures.

Jimmy Choo & Ugg

Friday, February 11th, 2011

I think the first time I ever saw one of these comfy yet trendy pairs on anyone is on one episode of Kourtney & Kim take New York. Khloe visited her sisters and I think she was wearing the studded one.

Let’s admit it, Ugg boots can be awfully plain so thank heavens for Jimmy Choo pairing with Ugg, we have these studded, animal print and fringed boots. Now even fashionistas can cover up their tootsies with Uggs.

What am I doing browsing through online shoe stores again? Well, allow me that simple pleasure. I swear I’m not getting a pair of these — can you see those prices? Not for me. I would be better off researching about hoodia and other weight loss ingredients, that would be more useful in the future. I think.

Boot the Boots

Monday, January 31st, 2011

We were just walking out the door Sunday morning when I noticed that my good old Uggs for women have gotten tighter and were giving me a hard time just putting them on my feet. Fortunately, I had backup: one of my recent buys, my Converse boots.

The thought that my very first pair of Ugg boots may just be about to retire sent me on a search for a new pair. And because winter is almost over, I may just need to wait a few weeks before these gorgeous boots would be on sale. I found some fiorentini baker boots and immediately thought of someone who’d love to have a pair of them but I’ll have to push that thought out of my head because they are way out of my price range right now. This donald j pliner womens shoes, on the other hand, may be perfect for my pregnant legs and feet (for when they are swollen) because they’re made of stretch material. But then, I wouldn’t be still pregnant and I may not be pregnant again next winter – Yikes! That’s a wee bit too soon!

Personalized Gifts

Monday, January 24th, 2011

As much as possible, I want to give gifts of utility and value. I try to come up with gifts which are unique but would be appreciated, used and probably abused. This poses a real challenge when I give my husband presents because he tends to be sentimental and the gifts end up in the closet for years before he decides to use them. If he actually enjoyed gift-wrapping, I think he’d  even tape the wrappers back as they were.

Hearts’ Day is fast approaching. Thinking of gifts for men is already difficult as it is. With my husband taking advantage of the Thanksgiving and Christmas sales that he encountered here and abroad, my search for the perfect gift would be even harder. So for Hearts’ Day, I’m picking out from Personal Creations’ selection of customized gift items. I discovered this site via Facebook, which is following in Multiply’s footsteps as a medium for online stores. I better start my search as early as now while some items are still on clearance sale, I can still use personal creations coupons found online and I would still have enough time for shipping and delivery. Off I go! Ciao!

Zappos.com

Thursday, November 25th, 2010

Whenever I feel the chilly winter air blowing on my face, I can’t help but think about this pair of Chuck Taylor boots that I saw at Zappos.com. I am trying to fight the urge until Cyber Monday because I’m hoping to get a better deal.

The more discounts I can get, the more things I can buy. Like this Michael Kors jacket. I think these two would look good together, I’m just not sure how I can strut them with my pregnant belly. =)

I like shopping at Zappos because of their unique services. Online shopping is a worry-free experience with them because of their free shipping and returns. Not to mention the wide selection of products that they offer. The biggest shopping events of the season, Black Friday and Cyber Monday are the best times to sit before your computers and spend hours and hours browsing through Zappos’ seemingly unlimited collection… And I’m gonna do just that. Haha!

Oh, I almost forgot, this holiday season, their free shipping is also speedy, as fast as next day delivery! Perfect for last-minute Christmas shopping, eh?!
